letter from our founder
I'm thrilled to introduce the Manum Dare Foundation, a non-profit initiative close to my heart. I created this foundation because I have personally experienced the uncertainty and stress that comes with financial struggles. There were times when the dream of higher education seemed almost out of reach due to the heavy burden of tuition fees and other associated costs. However, by the grace of God, I was blessed with the support of many generous individuals and organizations who helped cover much of my college expenses. This profound assistance lifted a significant weight off my shoulders, allowing me to focus on my studies without the constant pressure of balancing multiple jobs.
The impact of this support was transformative. It enabled me to fully invest in my education, participate in campus activities, and pursue my goals with a clear mind and unwavering dedication. I realized that financial stability is not just about covering costs; it's about providing the mental and emotional space for students to thrive academically and personally.
During my time in high school at Thomas Jefferson in Denver, I witnessed many talented and hardworking students whose potential was stifled by financial barriers. These students, full of dreams and ambitions, often had to make difficult choices between pursuing their education and supporting their families. It was disheartening to see such promising futures dimmed by financial constraints.
I felt that by not taking action to help those around me facing similar challenges, I was doing a disservice to my community. This sense of responsibility and the desire to support others inspired the initiative "Lend a Hand" – to give back and support those who, like me, are striving for a brighter future but face significant obstacles. The concept of "lending a hand" became a guiding principle for me, rooted in my faith and personal experiences.
Through the Manum Dare Foundation, our non-profit organization seeks to ease the financial burden on deserving students, allowing them to focus on their education and personal growth.
I believe that every student deserves the chance to succeed, regardless of their financial situation. Through the Manum Dare Foundation, I hope to create a ripple effect of positive change, empowering students to reach their full potential and inspiring them to give back to their communities in the future. Together, we can make a lasting impact and help shape a better, more equitable world.
